Mr. Brundage has always known the importance of mentoring and the necessity of positive role models in the lives of our youth. Since his early teenage years, Brundage has been involved in a variety of mentoring programs and nonprofit organizations. Most recently, he has held positions with the Fresh Start Program of Darby, PA, Boy Scouts of America, Higher Achievement before starting investED in 2013. Brundage received his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Masters Degree in Urban Economics from Howard University.

Throughout her career and education, Ms. Perkins has sought to uncover the “invisible” limits blocking youth from achieving all they aspire to become. In addition to a background in marketing analysis and an advanced degree in Applied Economics, Karyn served in various capacities for non-profit organizations with a central focus on providing children resources for education and personal development. These roles include serving as a board member of Stanley’s Dream Foundation- an organization that provides scholarships to graduating high school seniors and funds for cancer research for children, and most recently mentoring students participating in the Job Corps program. In partnership with fellow board members, the demonstrated experience will be used to support investED in providing youth essential resources and skills to achieve great heights in school and in life.

Ms. Brock is a Southeastern Pennsylvania native and successfully obtained a degree in Biological Sciences from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Ms. Brock recognizes the need and calling to assist with youth, in order for them to achieve their own life goals. After three years of diligent participation in Big Hearts Little Hands, an organization based in Indiana, Pa, it has been a desire of Brock’s to continue to support positive growth within younger generations. Now serving as a board member with investED, she believes this organization will make a great impact in building up our youth and molding bright futures. Knowing the importance of leading by example, Michelle plans to devote the time and energy necessary to make sure our youth has proper resources to excel in today’s society. 

Mr. Garrett has always recognized the importance of paying it forward.  A by-product of great mentorship and role modeling, Terrell has dedicated not only his career, but his life towards providing equal educational opportunities for underserved youth populations. An AmeriCorps alum, and graduate of Bloomsburg University & The George Washington University, he believes the work of investED Enrichment Services, Inc. can provide many of the resources missing from today’s education system, successfully contributing towards eliminating the opportunity gap.

Mr. Scales is a Pittsburgh, PA native now residing in the Washington metropolitan area. He attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), where he studied Business Technology Support and Training Since his arrival to the Washington area he has be involved in several organizations in addition to investED which include: President of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. of Zeta Upsilon Lambda Chapter, Chief of Staff of Eastern Region Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Director of Joyce-Gillespie-Harrington Educational & Charitable Foundation, Inc., Member of the Virginia Leadership Institution, Mentor at Spirit of Faith Christian Center, and Director for WordUp College Outreach.
